A hospitality group that owns and operates boutique hotels across the American South, and the second client whose complete employee-onboarding program we designed.
This engagement isn't about software, it's about people. We onboard Horizon's new associates across every role, teaching them the company, the craft of hospitality, and the standards behind a memorable stay. A deliberately different world from CoreFlow, in brand and in substance.
A complete fictional company, so the case study reads like a genuine hospitality onboarding engagement.
We did not design Horizon’s brand. We apply it. These are the colors we carry onto the guides, cheat sheets, and onboarding documents we produce, so every deliverable feels like Horizon.
Associates are hired into a department and onboarded for it. Things like reservations or billing aren't departments, they're tasks certain roles perform, mostly Front Desk and Management. Getting this right shapes who's trained on what.
Front-desk associates work in a property-management system. Horizon licenses this from a third-party vendor, so we don't build it; we fold the vendor's own certification into our onboarding path (with a clear time estimate) and add our own quick-reference cheat sheets built from its screens.
Two very different clients, one consistent process. The Training Desk stays the hero; each client proves our range.
On the site, Horizon joins CoreFlow under Case Studies, turning a "Coming soon" card into a second complete engagement.
Horizon is a fictional company created by The Training Desk for demonstration purposes. Any resemblance to real products or organizations is coincidental.
